DOA has a history of not selling that well in the west and publishing games in multiple regions is expensive, actual fans of the franchise would take to importing the game themselves. The reason why DOA wasn't released in the west is more of a sly tactic. It had to do with the fact that the person didn't think that their kids who played Overwatch( better than if they played CoD atleast) should have been exposed to it.The pose was (as known by most) later replaced with a more suggestive pose and nobody was upset over that. There was one person who asked if Blizzard could modify it(not remove) and the internet decided to go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Seriously though, there wasn't outrage over that Tracer pose. Unless you're a troll, then just go ahead. Can you just take it easy for a second, especially Daryl. SO WHY FIGHT TO BAN/CENSOR CERTAIN GAMES WHEN YOU ARENT THE TARGET CONSUMERS!? or even want to be a part of the franchise but only available in asian countries or digital download.Īnd you see SJWs Kotaku/Polygon activists cheering despite they admitting never even purchasing DOA games before. Thats why play-asia announced that DOAXtremeVolleyball 5 will NOT be released in US. you have the entire SJW crusade and neogaf, kotaku, polygon and other "progressive" groups doing whatever they can to get a game banned. and thats okayīut the moment you put a topless woman in a game with nipples exposed. I mean American games you can decapitate a person and stick a showerhead into their neck hole as it rains blood. their Eroge comes in the plentiful and some are quite graphic. Strange as it sounds, Japan's content standards are far more strict than the US's. Originally posted by pokedude900:It should be added that you can't have nipples AT ALL in a game rated by CERO. What I think happened here was simply PQube thought it would be counter-productive to make a console game one way and make a computer game another. Since a computer game is not rated by the CERO, they technically are allowed to have nudity (such as visual novels, dating sims, etc). What makes this really interesting is unlike the dreaded AO rating, a game can have no nudity whatsoever and still get a Z rating, such as DOOM (2016) What's interesting is that if a game has any nudity (other than occasional butt shots as in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round), the game automatically gets a Z rating and most places opt not to sell it. If a game gets a Z rating, it is legally restricted and gets put in a separate section of the store. Z - acceptable for ages 18 and older, must be 18 to purchase or play this game. All games except for computer games are rated by this board and all fall into five categories: Originally posted by Daryl:I mean I hate it when Japanese games get censored because of a few people afraid of their own testicles.Ī number of years ago the Japanese rating board came into existence called the CERO.
